Session Notes

Session meets the second Thursday of each month. The December meeting was not different and the meeting progressed in spite of power outages and wind gusts.

Each month ideas and changes have been brought to the architect's attention, and he in return has made some possibilities - as well as some impossibilities, known to the group. Architect Alan Gozart presented completed drawings for the new fellowship hall and kitchen, and the specs needed to proceed with bids for the first stages fo the remodeling project. Session looked at flooring and lighting possibilities.

Committees report and discuss and seek Session approval when needed, each month regarding their designated areas of concern.

Areas presently needing attention:

Christian Education - looking for an assistant or co teacher for the Jr. High class.

Worship - seeking a nursery attendant for Sunday morning worship service hours.

Mission & Outreach - preparing for a February in-house auction to support our Uganda missions, and asking all to begin thinking about donations of items or services.

Congregational Life - needing help to 'take down the greens' January 6.

Session agreed to "find a new home" for the choir robes and the risers. The Coffee Hour host list is being updated.

Properties - continued with general up keep and is proceeding with a cleaning out of the storage area.

Stewardship - will be preparing the budget for 2007 and ask that requests and changes be turned in.

The Congregational Meeting is Sunday, January 21. This is the time for election of officers, review of the financial year and 2007 budget, viewing of the many accomplishments of committees, looking at our future, and a place to voice your thoughts and concerns.
