Montesano Washington Presbyterian Church

The Presbyterian Women's Association of this church is a part of a larger organization that was birthed as a missionary aid society many years ago. Today we continue to support missions, both locally and beyond.

BIRTHDAY LUNCHEON: The Presbyterian women will be celebrating the June birthdays of Tammy Hill and June Denny with a birthday luncheon to be held at 1:00p June 2 at Gepettos in Montesano. ALL women of the church are invited to attend this monthly luncheon. If you would like to be added/removed from the list, or just have questions about the luncheon, please contact Karen Jarvis at 249-5502.

The Presbyterian Women will be having their annual Spring Potluck/Picnic on June9, at the home of Alletia Simons (46 Black Creek Rd). This picnic is the time when new officers are elected and officers are installed, as well as collected layette items for the Hearts and Hand Pregnancy Center in Aberdeen. As with all PW events, ALL women of the church are invited and encouraged to attend.

For those attending the picnic for the first time, we use this time together to assemble layettes for the pregnancy center. Items for the layettes can consist of almost anything that you feel a baby might need or can use. Newborn to six months is the size range we are looking for. Items need not be new, but should be clean and in excellent condition. We know that this ministry is a blessing to those who receive the layettes. If you are unable to attend the picnic but have items that your wish to donate, they may be brought to the church anytime between now and June 8.

Tea Time: The Women's Association of the Aberdeen Presbyterian Church (Broadway & 3rd) invite the women of Monte Pres to Tea, Wednesday, June 11 at 1:30 pm. The guest speaker, Ms. Lois Riner, will talk about the many aspects of tea. Please RSVP before June 3rd to Brenda at 360-538-7403.

The Presbyterian Women will be having a rummage sale at the church Friday, June 13 (9a-4p) and Saturday, June 14 (9a-1p) and again on Friday - Saturday June 20 - 21 (same hours). Proceeds from the sale will benefit the new fellowship hall, as well as provide scholarships for the 2009 PW Retreat. Rummage items are needed as well as volunteers to help set up Thusday evening and to help work the sale on both Friday and Saturday. Rummage will be sorted by type and/or priced by table so there is no need to price any of your items. Rummage items may be brought to the church nursury beginning June 8.
