MISSION - OUTREACH

I want to thank all of you who supply food for the Union Gospel Mission and who roll with the punches when I make changes to the delivery location as I did in October. I appreciate all of you and so do the folks at the Mission. Just as a reminder for everyone, including the new folks, who prepare food for the Mission, food should arrive at my house by 6:00 p.m. (no later than 6:15, please) and on the THIRD Tuesday of the month. If you bring it to the garage entrance it’s much closer for you and for the pickup people who pick it up by 6:30. Salads are simply two small bags of greens or one large bag, plus a bottle of salad dressing of any flavor. Three people make casseroles and we try to use the same recipe for all three.

If anyone who isn’t on my list wishes to be put on my list, please give me a call, 249-3957, or see me in church. I’ll gladly add you to my 2009 schedule.

Monte Pres has supplied the meal and message of the Gospel to the men of the Union Gospel Mission once a month for the past few years. Below is the schedule for the coming year. Food for the mission is provided by members of the congregation, organized by Edie Johnson. If you would like to be added to the rotation of providing a hot dish and/or salad to the mission, please contact Edie at 249-3957.
